Installation Tip - MP3 Interface Adaptor.

This page gives installation advice about how to install the MP3 Interface Adaptors from Connects2.

These connects 2 MP3 interface adaptors are compatible with all MP3 player that have a 3.5mm Head phone socket. They do not charge the MP3 device or interact with original fitted controls.

 

 

 

 

The kit should include:-

 

MP3 connector lead

MP3 Aux Input module

Head unit CD changer to module lead.

Installation Guide

1) Remove the head unit.

2) IMPORTANT - If fitted to the MP3 Adaptor wiring, connect Black to ground such as head unit chassis.

3) Install the head unit CD Changer adaptor lead into the Head unit connections.

4) Connect the head unit adaptor lead to the MP3 Aux input interface module.

5) Connect the Audio lead to the MP3 Aux input interface module.

6) Decide where you want to route the Audio lead such that MP3 Player can be connected in the car.

7) Carefully re-install the head unit back into the vehicle.

8) You should now be able to test the system, using selection on the head unit to pick up the audio input.

When testing the system, switch the head unit on and verify that the CD source can be selected using the source key, and the auxiliary audio can be heard. Connect the MP3 player . During normal use the volume is adjusted on the head unit.
